In Heinenoord, The Netherlands, STM Design & Build realized a state-of-the-art logistics facility for Floret Trading, tailored for the storage of food and household products.
Optimized for efficiency, sustainability, and innovative workflows, the Floret Trading facility combines high-quality construction, advanced energy management systems, and a unique floating office design. This project showcases STM Design & Build’s expertise in delivering customized solutions that exceed client expectations.
Full service care
STM Design & Build managed the Floret Trading project in its entirety, from concept to completion. The in-house architectural, structural, and interior designs were developed in collaboration with iDB. STM took responsibility for every phase, including concrete piling, technical installations, and furniture. The steel construction was produced at STAWI, and the entire process was streamlined to ensure quality and efficiency.
Process-focused design
The unique triangle-shaped plot required a customized design to maximize storage capacity. STM optimized the building layout by placing a floating office above the loading ramp, ensuring seamless truck processing and operational efficiency. From its inception, the facility was specifically tailored for food and household product storage, with workflows designed to meet the client’s exact requirements.
Future-proof innovation
Sustainability was at the core of this project. The facility features an 87,000 wp solar power system optimized for energy consumption, a heat pump-driven floor heating system, and high-quality insulated materials for energy efficiency. These systems ensure the building meets current environmental standards while being ready for future demands.
Trust & safety
STM partnered with Floret Trading from the very start, advising during the land acquisition phase to select the best plot. This collaborative approach allowed for quick and qualitative decision-making, ensuring the project stayed within budget and was completed on time. Trust and open communication were key to this project’s success.
